People in Combe Down were today able to pay their last respects to Harry Patch, the last surviving veteran of the trenches, as his funeral cortege passed through the village.
Following the funeral in Wells Cathedral, Mr Patch's coffin was due to head towards Monkton Combe for burial, where other members of his family have been laid to rest.See the full content of this document
