Summary
A greedy university graduate was rumbled when he tried to set up a cash machine scam in Bath. London-based Sebestian Lupescu, 35, fixed pinhole cameras and card reading devices at the Halifax branch in South Gate and at NatWest in High Street one Sunday mor ning.
But a bank manager, who went to use the NatWest machine later that morning, noticed something was wrong and called the police, St Alban's Crown Court heard. CCTV cameras in the area helped police to identify Lupescu. He was traced to London through his car registration plate and was arrested. He admitted fitting the cameras and said he was going to receive Pounds 1,000 from other conmen, prosecutor Alison Ginn told the court.See the full content of this document
