Paul Wiltshire's article "City's World Heritage Celebrated" (Bath Chronicle April 1) like some of his other pronouncements about the future use of The Rec for professional football, etc has certainly caused some doubts over the credibility of our local press.

Most have simply put it down to a silly April Fools' Day prank on the part of what many now see as a rather biased paper when it comes to the widespread blight on Bath's heritage.
