along the way. Turn right and follow the Fosse Way for 1/2 mile to reach a road. Cross this road and continue following the Fosse Way for 600 yards until it crosses the River Avon on an ancient packhorse bridge. Cross the river and, within a few paces, cross a stile on the right and follow a path ahead that climbs gently uphill away from the Fosse Way. Beyond a gate, follow the path across the right edge of a field to another gate. Drop down to another gate and follow a path ahead passed a ruined cottage on the right to a bridge over the Avon. 3. Cross the river and follow an overgrown path ahead uphill through trees and bushes to emerge into the corner of an arable field. Follow the left edge of this field to the next corner before turning left through a gap into an adjoining field. Walk straight ahead across the middle of this field - ignoring a track bearing off to the right - to a stile on the far side of the field. Cross the following field to a gate and a parking area by a barn. Follow a track running down the right of this barn to a pair of roads on the right. Follow the lower road down to the main road in Easton Grey.

Continue for another 1 1/2 miles beyond Sherston to a right turn into Easton Grey. Park on the roadside in the centre of the village.
