The end of my little finger was bitten off by a dog last week as I delivered leaflets. May I make a plea to readers with yappy, snappy dogs which jump up at letter boxes to provide a protective cage or box behind their letter flaps? I would not like anyone else to suffer as I have done, including pain resulting in lack of sleep, three visits to hospitals and a minor operation. My finger will never look the same again.
