Summary


In mid-April 2008, residents affected by the council's plans to build a road for a BRT received a leaflet from the council which told them that the so-called segregated route would only be used by BRT buses for "a specified amount of time".

Following this, at a packed public meeting, Cllr Gerrish was asked: "What is a specified amount of time"? He didn't give a solid answer, but reassured residents that no other vehicles would use the road as long as he was in cabinet.
