Summary
Recently someone overheard an American tourist declaring that the Circus was built by Nero. That almost equals the possibly apocryphal one where a visitor from across the pond asked why Edinburgh Castle was built so close to the railway.
The Natural Theatre Company provides accurately-costumed characters to the Roman Baths. They are not advertised as Naturals in case people think they are going to get an episode of Up Pompeii. But occasionally our actors feel they might just as well start singing the opening number from A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, or break into a wildsandalled tap routine, such is the grasp of history among some of the patrons.See the full content of this document
